Location: Carrollton is a city in Denton County, Dallas County and Collin County. According to the 2005, census estimates the city’s total population to be 122,699. The City of Carrollton is located in the heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth area and is a vibrant corporate and residential community. History: The English colony, a group of families in the northeastern area of settlement which crossed into Denton County, was home to large landowners including the Furneaux, Jackson, Morgan, and Rowe families. It is most likely that Carrollton was named for Carrollton, Illinois, the original home of many of these settlers.
Life Style: With more than 1,230 acres of developed park land, Carrollton’s park land per capita is one of the highest in the Metroplex. The City of Carrollton’s parks and recreation facilities include two recreation centers, two swimming facilities, a senior center, homestead museum, tennis center, and an amphitheater. Schools: The Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District has taken steps to become increasingly efficient at integrating technology in the classroom. C-FB ISD has joined forces with Atomic Learning, a nationally respected provider of web-based software training.
The service will be implemented in three areas: staff development, as a curriculum supplement, and as a resource for parents of school-age children. That means educators, students, and their families can access Atomic Learning from school or home, all day, everyday
